Hi
Welcome to our July newsletter.
This month we are launching 5 new projects giving you an even greater choice of what you can do on your gap break. In this issue you will find new teaching projects, medical internships and even the opportunity to coach rugby/football during your year out.
Of course with any GapGuru programme you have the opportunity to add one or more specifically created travel journey to provide you a chance to see more of Incredible India! This month we provide you an insight into the eastern part of the Himalayas.
As an added bonus – only for July every applicant will get a digital camera
to capture the images from your gap year.
So don’t delay call us today on 08000 32 33 50 to start planning your gap!
Best Wishes

This month, we’re whisking you off to Darjeeling, just inside the state border in West Bengal, then up into the northern state of Sikkim, the home of Kangchendzonga, the world’s third highest mountain.
The tiny state of Sikkim, bordered by Nepal, China/Tibet and Bhutan, is refreshed by the pure mountain air of the Himalayan foothills.
It’s one of India’s least-populated areas and one of its most politically stable.
And there’s plenty to explore in the fascinating hill stations of this less-visited region of India.
What to see and do
Sikkim and Darjeeling are favourite areas for trekking and adventure sports.
But how about a magical train ride on the Darjeeling-Himalayan railway, which has a World Heritage listing?
Climb with Gapguru slowly uphill on this little steam train to Sikkim’s state capital, Gangtok, - literally High Hill.
It’s the only capital city in India to have a cable car!
But that’s not all.
Gangtok also has a soccer stadium, Western rock music, Hindi pop songs, Nepalese Rock,
wonderfully tasty noodle-based dishes and momo.
