GapGuru Teaching Training weekend

If you are considering spending your gap year teaching abroad, whether you are a qualified teacher or just an individual interested in volunteer teaching, the GapGuru TEFL training program is for you.

It is not very easy for everyone deliver a lesson in front of dozens of kids who dont speak your language. Thanks to this TEFL training, you will gain more confidence and skills to teach to a large number of children, and make this experience beneficial for everyone.

The classes will be held by an experienced TEFL tutor, who has been teaching English as a foreign language to students from around the world at the Swan School for English for the last five years. She also taught in Nepal for six months as part of one of our projects.

This is the opportunity for the future volunteers to be advised on teaching abroad by an experienced former volunteer through interactive training. Our TEFL teacher will share her experience with you, and this is a chance be prepared for your exciting adventure teaching in a school in Asia, Africa, or South America!

This TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) training will cover all the useful topics such as teaching grammar and vocabulary, classroom management, group dynamics, correction and recycling techniques. Future volunteer teachers will also learn how to make teaching fun, using techniques such as singing, drama and others amusing activities for kids.

The techniques and theories you will learn are particularly relevant for those teachingin primary schools, but they are equally valid for teaching adults with little knowledge of English.
