DELHI – MANALI – TREK – MANALI – DELHI
Manali is one of India’s most popular hill stations and offers much for the adventurous outdoor lover on a gap year in India. Manali is the gateway to some fabulous Himalayan trekking and this gap year travel programme offers you some spectacular walking through mountain scenery and small villages. You have time to relax and explore the town of Manali or get your adrenaline going on your gap year abroad with some of the adventure sports here.
Is this journey right for me?
This is an easy trek in the Bara Bangal range of the Himalayas with maximum altitude of 3500m; no previous experience of trekking is required. Those trekking in India should have comfortable walking boots which are well worn in and you should be generally fit and healthy. For this trek in India you need to be capable of walking up to 6 hours per day, with some steep ascents and descents, for several consecutive days. Please remember altitude will make the walking a little harder. Your main luggage is carried for you; you carry only your own day sac. Other activities are optional. There is an overnight bus journey in each direction by super deluxe bus.
