A gap year is no longer just for students taking a break either pre or post University. Today a growing number of people are taking what is now called a gap year for grown ups, either mid-career or even post an active career. In fact, the market statistics show this group is now larger than the traditional student gap year market! You maybe thinking that the pressures of work are getting too much or the daily routine is just too boring...or taking an early retirement to pursue the dreams you have always had. As people with experience and skills gained through work, career break volunteers have a lot to offer charities and organizations abroad. We offer volunteer placements in Non Governmental Organisations (NGO's) and charities and also internships in various business & medical environments.

Working in an NGO:
With our volunteer placements there are so many different career break opportunities that you could work with and although we are realistic and appreciate that one person can't change the world, we do believe that many people can make a difference. That's what we aim to achieve with our range of projects. Career break volunteers who have travelled with us previously comment on how working in a developing world environment constantly challenges them and teaches them how to adjust their professional skills to fit the local context. Also, what a humbling and levelling experience it is to work with some of the world's most underprivileged people!
