Who are you going with?
Whether you are trekking across lands unknown with your faithful aide or flying solo it's always helpful to know what help is on offer, especially in unfamiliar environments.
India is an amazing place but it can also seem daunting for the unseasoned traveller. We'd all like to think we can 'do it my way' but asking for help can sometimes work out better, those with inside knowledge will always point you to the best local restaurant or travel company in the area.
Organising a trip can also seem like a pretty huge task at the beginning but with a little bit of help it can be made a lot easier. And that's where the help of a gap partner like GapGuru can come in particularly useful.
Not only can we organise your trip, we can make sure you haven't forgotten any of the little extras before you set off.
We also offer different viewpoints from the traditional tourist route, volunteer and charity projects can add value to your trip, so you can get to really experience what it's like to live and work within Indian communities.
When are you going?
Because of its large expanse, virtually anytime of year India has something to offer. As a general rule the best time to visit is the end of the monsoon season October to the end of March. However the hill stations are best enjoyed in hotter weather around April to early June.
But for a hardy traveller experiencing local weather comes as part and parcel of your trip. Thinking about when to go is often directly related to when you will have saved up enough money. The best thing about our India experience is we offer paid work placements within multi-national companies that can help fund your trip whilst you are out there.
