The Tanzania Adventure is GapGuru’s gap year trip for an extraordinary Tanzania experience in just 1 month. Volunteer for 3 weeks in a local nursery and primary school and then take off on an incredible safari, visiting all 4 major game parks in northern Tanzania.
Your gap year role: As a classroom volunteer, you can make a difference with your gap year and also add essential experience on your CV.
The main subject that our partner schools look for is English-teaching support as English language skills are vital for the students to improve their future job prospects. Any other areas where volunteers are particularly skilled or interested are also extremely welcome, and you may wish to run your own activity club with the children. For early years development in the younger classes, much of the learning is done through educational games and activities.
On safari, gap year travellers are encouraged to enjoy the incredible natural spectacles of Tanzania. Experience the extraordinary and discover amazing wildlife - including a chance to encounter all of the big 5!
Your gap year experience: Gap year volunteering in Africa is one of the most worthwhile things you can do with your gap year. GapGuru volunteers in Tanzania contribute to long-term teaching projects that are working tirelessly to improve educational standards.
