ARUSHA - MT MERU - ARUSHA
Is this journey right for me?
This is a rewarding short weekend trek on a live volcano with walking of 5 or 6 hours per day and 8 hours on summit day. If you are looking for a physical challenge on our
gap year abroad
or are considering climbing Kilimanjaro, on your
gap year to Tanzania
, this is an ideal preparation for you. You need to be physically fit, own good comfortable walking boots and enjoy the outdoors. Some altitude sickness may be experienced and makes the trek more challenging. Maximum altitude is (4566m).

How much will it cost?
£375.00 per person in shared mountain hut accommodation
What’s Included?
Accommodation:
: In mountain huts. These are four bedded dormitory style huts
Travel:
You walk with your own day sack – porters carry your main luggage and provisions.
Food:
A cook travels with you and prepares three good meals a day for you. Energy snacks and safe drinking water are also provided. Bring your own water bottle
