Day 2 - Agra Early this morning take the train to Agra. Visit Agra Fort an imposing structure of 2 miles long. It contains palaces, audience halls and mosques built by all three emperors. Visit the Taj Mahal by sunset, something that you cannot miss on any gap year trip to India. This shrine of love is said to be the most beautiful building in the world, decide for yourself.

Day 3 - Orchha
Take the train this morning to Jhansi and drive to Orchha. Known as the city of abandoned temples, the grandeur of a time gone by is captured here in stone. This afternoon is free to relax and explore.

Day 4 - Orchha Visit the temples and Orchha Fort complex today. This evening take the overnight train to Varanasi.

Day 5 - Varanasi Arrive in Varanasi, the city of Shiva, one of the holiest places in India. This afternoon is free to soak up the atmosphere of this magical city where intimate rituals of life and death take place in full public view.

Day 6 - Varanasi
This morning take a boat ride on the Ganges River to view the sunrise. From dawn to dusk the riverfront (Ghats) are thronged with devotees who perform their holy rituals in hope of attaining eternal salvation or "Nirvana". Later explore the town and the temples.

Day 7 - NEPAL – Lumbini You have a full day of travelling today as you cross the border into Nepal. Lumbini is the birth place of Buddha, the popular site of many pilgrimages and a fitting start to your Nepali experience.

Explore the Lumbini area on foot before you drive to the ancient hill town of Tansen. Visit the bazaar and soak up the friendly atmosphere of this culture soaked town.
Day 9 - Pokhara Drive to Pokhara a beautiful lakeside town and place of remarkable natural beauty.

Today you have a full day to explore Pokhara and relax. Take a lakeside walk and marvel at the scenic views of the Annapurnas, take a boat onto the lake and admire the stunning mountain reflections.

Today enjoy the excitement of Rafting on the Trisuli River. Ride the rapids with names such as ‘Snell’s Nose’, ‘Teen Devil’, ‘Ladies Delight’, ‘Upset’ and the aptly named ‘Surprise’. Then relax again as you drive to Kathmandu.
