GapGuru volunteers can use their gap year abroad to work with children, teaching in primary schools or secondary schools in a range of locations. You could teach English in Sri Lanka with Buddhist monks, help educate slum children by teaching in India, or volunteer to teach in Tanzania, working in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Wherever your location, you will have the opportunity to bring education to life for children from the poorest backgrounds. As well as teaching English abroad, gap year volunteers may have the chance to tutor Maths and Sciences, or stimulate students through interactive drama, arts and crafts. The children are keen to learn and in return you will learn from them as part of a remarkable gap year experience.
