To give you more flexibility in your travel plans, our gap year programs don’t include flights so you’ll need to budget for these separately. This will probably be your biggest expense so it’s a good idea to think about them nice and early – ideally as soon as you book your volunteer travel! In-direct flights are usually the cheapest option, but if you’re planning a gap year that takes in multiple destinations, your best bet will be to buy a round-the-world ticket, which should set you back somewhere between £1000 and £1500.
