Project Brief: Musicians and music fans are needed to volunteer on this GapGuru gap year project with this non-profit organisation that works to promote rock music in India. As a gap year volunteer you can teach an instrument, help in the recording studio, or gain experience in organising concerts and other events.
Your role:
Your role here will very much depend on where your talents lie. This is not just a gap year project for musicians! If you do play guitar, drums, bass or keyboards you can teach your instrument in the music school and hold workshops for students. For those with an interest in recording, you can lend a hand in the recording studio, using your knowledge and learning some tricks of the trade. While you're there you might also want to start a band or maybe join an existing one.
Non-musicians can also get involved by helping with events management, marketing and promotion of concerts, festivals and other events. You might want to suggest your own event programme while you are there, and spend your time organising it with the support of the staff.
