About the Organisation: This is a very exciting and dynamic organization dedicated to giving the best education possible to some of
Delhi’s disadvantaged communities and in fact they have won a national award for services to rehabilitation. The school has a holistic attitude towards education as community empowerment.
There is a medical care programme at the school covering physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nature cure and yoga, pranic healing, a workshop for assistive devices and a clinic of specialists. The school also manufactures prosthetic limbs (given away for free); Alongside the therapeutic programmes there is a Child Guidance Centre containing several social workers that help with the children’s needs outside of education; counseling, psychological assessment, individual and group therapy, case conferences, regular sessions with parents of children and a home training programme.
All these programmes show a dedication to provide, in their own words,“rehabilitation with a holistic approach where education, medical care, vocational training and self employment opportunities are offered in one complex".
