About the Project: If you are interested in publishing, this gap year volunteer work option is a great opportunity for you to gain important work experience abroad and support a charity at the same time. You will be working with an award-winning, non-profit organisation which publishes nearly 100 new titles each year and works with some of the world's leading publishing groups.
Your Role: As a gap year volunteer you will be working on key book production tasks for a variety of publications (mostly fiction and children's books). You'll be mainly involved in proof reading, creative writing, media write-ups, working with the press and research. You will be working with a friendly, dedicated and experienced team, learning not only about publishing and contemporary Indian fiction but also making new friends and supporting this incredible organisation.

I have greatly enjoyed my time and found it a highly rewarding experience: I have benefited not only by gaining aspects in various aspects of publishing, but also through being exposed to the workings of a unique organization. the work I undertook was intellectually stimulating and I have had the opportunity to explore a range of literature that I might not otherwise have come across.
