Narelle Evans: Gap Year Images I think last time I spoke to you all I was just going out on the school on wheels. I went with the project in the bus to a slum cluster to visit the children. It was amazing! Totally heartwarming! The kids were really friendly and we drew pictures with them and played with them. They live in makeshift houses and have very little food, water and clothing available to them. They can't wait for the project bus to arrive. I got some lovely pictures of me with the kids and some pictures of the slum houses they live in.

Yesterday (12th) was also a national holiday. They were celebrating an evil God and his brothers being killed by some Goddess. I learnt quite a lot about the religion here but the names of the Gods are really hard to remember. I went to the Pooja and saw the statues and saw the rituals that take place. I also got some pictures of that too. At the end of the day they send the goddess and her children back home by submerging the statues in the river and then they burn the huge wooden statues of the evil brothers and there filled with bangers so it's really loud. The place was packed full of people!

Narelle Evans: Gap Year Images I have also been out again. I can't help it!!! I had some more hooka and some drinks at happy hour. Gotta be done! I'm getting along really well with some of the people I've met here and feel I've got some really good friends which is nice.

Cant remember if I told you but I got mehndi done on my hands. I have even taken off all my Gold!! All I wear is the god Ganesh round my neck and a beaded bracelet. Never thought I'd see the day! Lol

Still missing everybody back home tho. I'll be able to show everyone the pictures on my lil visit back. I'm still not telling anybody the date tho. Ha Ha.
